Prydain''''s geography,culture and names are based on ancient Wales.Prydain is enganged in constant battles with its neighbour Annuvin,land of death.There is also the minor land which Fflewddur Fflam rules over.Also there is the Isle of Mona.Lloyd Alexander,author of the Prydain Chronicles modelled Prydain after much of his memories of Wales,where he was stationed for a brief time during World War II.It is the setting for four of the five books in the series.
