Lord Gwydion is a legendary Prince warlord in The Book of Three. He meets up with Taran while he is searching for Hen Wen. He has a white mare named Meylngar, and is presumably a wondrous warrior because he is in the legendary book, The Book of Three.

Gwydion meets up with Gurgi, who brings news of the location of the Horned King's forces, and Taran and Gurgi take an immediate dislike to each other.
