The Mirror of Llunet was the object of Taran's quest in the fourth book of the Chronicles, Taran Wanderer. Taran sought it on the advice of Orddu, thinking it to be a powerful magical item in the Llawgadarn Mountains that could show him his heritage. To his surprise, it turned out to be a lake of no particular enchantment, save that it is exceptionally clear and shows a man as he truly is. The lake is destroyed by Dorath, a mercenary who has pursued Taran.
