Hey! I wonder if, at some point in the future, you might consider providing locale maps on pages in the "Places" category: Black Lake, Caer Dathyl, Forest of Idris, etc. I think it would be fun to see that! Just a thought.
Oh, I just meant zooming in on the larger map, like you do for the path maps. No need to create all new maps! Just crop the big map image at a logical space around the specific locale, and post that image on the appropriate page.
I actually cannot visit pinterest at the moment but, yes, "focused on the location".
Hey there! In an effort to streamline the image database, I'm methodically deleting most of the unused and all of the duplicate images. There are a number of your "path map" images not currently in use, mainly on pages 5 and/or 6 of the images section. It looks like you've replaced older images with newer and more accurate versions.
With that in mind, do I have your permission to delete those unused maps? Thank you! -- Your fellow Admin
Your route maps continue to delight me. It takes a dedicated reader to even begin something of this level of detail and artistry, let alone finish it. Congratulations on completing the first book's worth of maps!
I have one niggling criticism (rather like a literary critic, who waxes negative about something great which he himself could never achieve). On the map for The Black Lake, you have the Companions leaving Medwyn's Valley to the east, when their logical route lies westward. Medwyn is putting the group on the shortest and quickest path to Caer Dathyl; he wouldn't send them eastward when the home of the Sons of Don likes to the northwest.
Apart from that, bravo! Huzzah! Well done! I love all your maps so far, but I think my favorite is the one for Flight through the Hills. It really captures the arduousness of the companions' journey, and their pursuit by the mounted Cauldron-Born. Love it, love it, love it.
Hey Brendan, thank you for your excellent addition to the Map page. I adjusted its placement, and gave you a prime spot in the Fan Map section. Welcome to the Prydain Wiki! I hope you keep the contributions coming.
