The Cauldron-Born are soldiers made from dead bodies that have been revived by The Black Cauldron. They served Arawn, though in The Book of Three, they are also briefly found under the command of Achren. The Cauldron-Born are mute and feel no pain, though their power weakens the farther they get from Annuvin. Their deathless state renders them nearly invincible, save for the power of the sword Dyrnwyn, as revealed in the final volume in the series, The High King.
